Hello!
I invite you to take an introductory jazz violin class.
I am Esteban Gassmann, jazz violin and improvisation teacher and I put together this class for all those who are interested in this beautiful style.
One of the main differences of this music, with respect to what we usually play on the violin (because of our academic training) lies in the RHYTHM.
In this class you will see:
-
How to approach SWING FEEL.
-
What is and how to exercise the articulation of the eighth note.
-
How to begin to study improvisation.
-
Some exercises to start developing harmonic reading and improvising with chords.

Subscribe and receive in your email a link with the introductory class to take it whenever you want.
About Me

I studied jazz violin and improvisation with the Swiss violinist Sophie Lussi in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied harmony and linear improvisation in the Jazz area of the J.B. Massa Municipal School of Music in Rosario, Argentina. I took part in courses and workshops of great exponents of the genre, Ernesto Jodos, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Paula Schocron, etc.
In 2015 I was awarded a scholarship to participate in the 4th national meeting of improvisation and musical composition in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I took Jazz Violin classes with the French violinist Eva Slongo and improvisation classes with the multi-instrumentalist master Marcelo Moguilevsky.
I teach different Jazz Violin and improvisation workshops in person (in the city of Córdoba Capital, Argentina) and virtually during the last years to people from different parts of the world.
